An online interactive workshop for Adverse Event Lead Reviewers . Participants will work in a small peer group using role play and interactive sessions to address communication challenges involved in leading a review following an adverse event

Topics at the workshops for will include:

• Explaining the Adverse Event review process to families, explaining how they will be involved and answering any queries they have
• Feedback meeting to share the review outcome with the patient/families

Dr Edile Murdoch is a Consultant Neonatologist and Clinical Director for Maternity Services in NHS Lothian. Edile joined the EC4H senior tutor team in 2016 and now supports delivery of Being Open and EC4H workshops in Lothian and EC4H’s partner boards

Dr Viv Franklin

Lead EC4H Being Open Tutor

Dr Vivian Franklin has been a consultant in obstetrics in Ayrshire since 2011. She is the lead for Maternity Clinical Risk Management and has worked with the EC4H team to implement the Being Open process in maternity services in Ayrshire since 2018. Through this she undertook EC4H tutor training with a focus on the Being Open process. GMC no - 4706207

Lesley Darroch

EC4H Tutor

Lesley Darroch is Practice Development Facilitator in Women’s and Children’s Services in NHS Ayrshire & Arran. She has a keen interest in effective communication with women and families. She trained as an EC4H tutor in 2019 so that she could support further learning.
