Having Better Conversations in Challenging Situations webinar: Addressing Collusion and Assertiveness

A free webinar for NHS Western Isles staff which helps support staff to have better conversations in difficult situations. The focus of the webinar will be on dealing with collusion and an assertive relative.

This online session allows participants to watch a real time interactive demonstration led by EC4H tutors. Participants will have the opportunity throughout the demonstration to contribute suggestions and feedback to the tutor team via the chat box

Overview

Mrs. Marjory McGhee is a 72-year-old widow. She is normally fit and independent although she has a past history of depression. She was admitted with chest sepsis and chest X-ray shows a suspicious lesion. She is awaiting further investigations. Her daughter, Anne, has made an appointment to discuss her future care; the nurses have said that her daughter does not want her told if she has cancer. The Doctor calls Anne to discuss her concerns
